Tsingshan Indonesia Raises 304 Hot-Rolled Stainless Steel Export Prices Amid Supply Tightening
December 22, 2025 — Tsingshan Indonesia raised its export prices for 304 hot-rolled stainless steel coil twice last week, increasing prices by USD 30 per tonne each time, for a total rise of USD 60 per tonne. Since the beginning of December, export prices have climbed by USD 90 per tonne.
Market participants noted that the latest price hikes are not isolated moves. They reflect a combination of factors, including tightening nickel ore supply, rising regulatory and compliance risks, stricter Chinese export policies, and a reshaping of regional trade patterns. The adjustments are seen both as a response to higher costs and a strategic effort to capture alternative export markets.

According to the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI), the Indonesian government plans to cut the 2026 nickel ore mining quota (RKAB) by about 34% from the 2025 target of 379 million tonnes, sending a clear signal of supply tightening aimed at stabilizing prices.
At the same time, regulatory action against a Tsingshan-related nickel mining project has added pressure to the supply chain, increasing uncertainty over raw material availability and operating costs.
On the trade front, China announced that starting January 1, 2026, stainless steel products will be subject to export license management. This is expected to reduce the flow of low-priced Chinese material into global markets, indirectly supporting prices for overseas producers such as Tsingshan Indonesia.
In addition, Turkey has finalized anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel from China and India, while Indonesian exporters were largely unaffected. The ruling is widely viewed as opening a regional substitution window for Indonesia, further strengthening its pricing power in international markets.

304 stainless steel is the preferred material for Oudrey water tanks.
It is widely used for domestic water supply, industrial and agricultural water storage, fire-fighting emergency systems, and municipal projects.
For domestic water tank applications, we use food-grade materials and work closely with large-scale steel suppliers to ensure consistent product quality, stable pricing, and safe, reliable use.
